Lisa, You must live near NYC, because if your son was in utero when you heard the songs for Sparrow's Point, RS must have been getting started in clubs. I know this because I'm in Florida (Baja Georgia) and I didn't get to see RS until my now 19 year old daughter was a pre-schooler!! Also you are not using an older teen driver for their full potential. which is DESIGNATED driver!!! A couple of times after really stressful work weeks, I've bribed mine into taking me to the best Margaritas in town. :) You also make a great point about iPod listening. I never knew it was RS behind Lori McKenna on "Never Die Young" until I heard it through earbuds. I still don't know how I missed that, but I did. You do get A LOT more Lucy on SP if you listen with headphones. Lake of Ponchartrain is an old Irish song, so it was a cover for Dylan, too. Wow. Wouldn't an album of the most angsty folkies taking on Irish ballads (With Danny Boy banned) be AWESOME?? The Chieftains could be folded in somehow. And it could end with the entire album ensemble coming out and moshing to a Flogging Molly song!!! :) While we're dreaming here -- might as well dream BIG. Matthew, WOW!!! I looked up your Harvey Reid bit (it's longer and better sampled for the folks who have iTunes -- http://itunes.apple.com/us/album/of-wind-and-water/id300169468). However, a listen could lead to a 99 cent download!! :) I couldn't believe that between Amazon & iTunes it looks like 30-40 groups/people have covered the song. Of the handful I sampled Reid was the best. And this makes me want to hear RS record it -- even MORE. And Ron G will be happy to hear that with my Reid impulse buy, the iTunes weasels immediately suggested that I go download Dave Carter & Tracy Grammer "When I Go". Oh Steve Jobs!! Don't start recommending my folk!!! :) And while we're on great Celtic covers, does anyone remember Paul McCartney doing "Mull of Kintyre"??? Again, a great voice stripped down with just a guitar. Well, just a guitar until the AWESOME bagpipes kick in. Matthew, thank you so much for the lead on another good cover!!
