Cheers for the info Ron. That $55+ price point looks sweet. Given I've somehow only got Near Demise ... which two other back catalogue CDs should I go for? Dave. ------------------------------ Date: Wed, 15 Jun 2011 18:19:02 -0400 (EDT) From: rongrittz@aol.com Subject: Re: [RS] Re: Antje Duvekot's next CD >> Given I've somehow only got Near Demise ... which two other back catalogue CDs should I go for? << Well, "Boys Flowers Miles" and "Little Peppermints" are pretty unavailable, but "Snapshots" is a combined re-release of some of the best stuff from the two CDs. "Big Dream Boulevard" is a bit overproduced and has a crappy version of "Dandelion," but the original acoustic version is on "Snapshots," so you're ok. Also, BDB has "Jerusalem" and great versions of "Sex Bandaid" and "Anna." So I'd go with those two, and then get the live one ("Live From All Over the Place") eventually, although it's nothing to write home about, and its best song ("Four Stitches") is likely to wind up on the new CD anyway. Enjoy . . . you have RG's money-back guarantee on all of 'em. The medicinal feelings I gotten over the past 3 years from Near Demise is well beyond $55, but it's all I can give right now. I'd encourage everyone on this list to pledge even if it's just $1.00. The work Richard and her have produced is simply unmatched. If you've never heard Near Demise... stop reading this immediately and go buy the record. After your get over your own vertigo, go pledge. Ron - thanks for sending this out. I had no idea. I don't know why that is, since the last song is not a hidden track.
