Hello, just wondering if Richard has ever performed Merritt Parkway, 2AM, either by itself, or as the instrumental lead-in to Transit, like it is on the album? I quite like the piece, and am attempting to learn it to add to my small repertoire of instrumental pieces. I usually sing while accompanying myself on either guitar or autoharp, and pick up the autoharp especially when some of Richard's complicated guitar work eludes me. I'm often able to drag upto or switch quickly between notes on the autoharp, since it's a flat string bed, with all of the notes in the scale, for the most part. Anyhow, I occasionally get asked to play a few instrumentals as background music, and they challenge me, since I can't then rely on my singing voice, and must only convey the song with the instrument alone. I think a little more practice on this tune will get it, but the fret work at the end, with the little trill, is a bit difficult. Richard's guitar is pretty prominent, but I'd sure like to hear a solo version to work from, if possible, and so am wondering if he's done this piece solo, or even at all? Thanks a lot.
