He plays a radio show in Amsterdam tonight. On tuesday he played in Leiden, a university town (he jokingly asked if someone knew how to get his wife a temporary tutorship so he could live in the Netherlands for a few months, he really seems to like it here)and I attended this show (my fifth and next to last of the tour). About 60 people saw him play a pretty standard set with a few surprises: Hazel's House Cancion Sencilla Satan's Jewel Crown (he had performed this for the first time in his life the night before at a radio show with Fayssoux McLean and felt he had to play it again) So another cover to add to the list. Other songs played were Fishing Mavis Transit Arrowhead Sitting on Top of the World Wayfaring Stranger Balloon man Gethsemane Goodbye Get up clara Che Guevara Fenario Reunion hill (but not 100% sure, some memories seem to flow over into each other) Richard's guitar playing was excellent this night, maybe bacause there was an extra mic for the guitar this night. The next night he played in the Hague, a show organized by his promoter. He played 2 excellent sets with quite a few tour debuts: State of the Union You Stay here (first time since the accident) Kenworth Cold missouri Water Ascent Summer Wind Abuelita other songs played were Balloon man Are You Happy Now Mary Magdalene Arrowhead Reunion Hill Wisteria Fishing Fenario Whippoorwill Last Fare Get UP clara Sitting on Top of the World I had to catch the last train so i missed the last part of the concert, probably just 2 songs as I heard Richard say "I'll leave you with this" just before I left the room. Will have to wait for the video to see what I missed. other observations from last night - - the book with lyrics he carries with him is a mix of typed and written pieces of paper and not all his songs are in there - - the guy who shouted out for Ascent (and got it) called for TV Light later on ("you should quit when you're ahead") I had 2 short nights (had to work this week) so will turn in early this evening. Next RS concert will be London on june 17 during a week's holiday in the UK _________________________________________________________________ Express yourself instantly with MSN Messenger! These are from yesterday's show at The Hague, the third largest city in the Netherlands after Amsterdam and Rotterdam, with a population of 482,742 (as of December 31, 2008). It seems that with a new project, he'd play at least a little more than half of the disc, instead of sticking to two or three songs from it. Thanks a lot.
