Three friends and I signed up for this singer songwriter cruise. I'm not a cruiser (sensitive inner ear) but I thought this one too good to pass up. www.cayamo.com Cayamo is the ultimate vacation for any lover of music. Cayamo, a 6-day Caribbean cruise, features the crhme de la crhme of songwriters - Shawn Colvin, Patty Griffin, John Hiatt, Buddy Miller, Brandi Carlile, Shawn Mullins, and more, as well as multiple Grammy award winners Lyle Lovett and Emmylou Harris, who co-headline the event. Designed to inspire, captivate and entertain, Cayamo is the perfect setting to enjoy a world-class Carnival cruise, award winning music and entertainment, and the beautiful beaches of Cozumel, Mexico; Grand Cayman; and Ocho Rios, Jamaica all rolled into one. carrie in kc ------------------------------ Date: Sat, 28 Jul 2007 14:45:59 -0400 From: "jcolb barashgroup.com" Subject: [RS] odd songs > Date: Fri, 27 Jul 2007 13:07:13 -0400 > From: Rongrittz@aol.com > Subject: Re: [RS] New songs! > > >> Richard described it as the oddest song he's ever written << > > Odder than "Hideous Grin?" I know the whole covers vs. not thing has been beaten to death, but there is a reason I think of rs as a songwriter first and formost. - -jim c ------------------------------ Date: Sat, 28 Jul 2007 15:00:14 -0400 From: Peter Booth Subject: [RS] odd songs Does anyone have any kind of listing of recordings of Richard's that are not on albums? I've never heard of any of them except "I Am" which someone on this list sent to me. If it's the latter -- and if we're not talking about brand new stuff - -- the only ones I'm aware of are "Hideous Grin," "She's in Spain and I'm in Pain" and "Home Team" (which actually IS on an old WUMB compilation disc, I believe). Plus the recent-ish (but not part of the new batch) "One Man's Arkansas," which I've never heard.
