Maybe I'll look into it. I can't comment on that software, but for all you Mac users out there I can heartily recommend Audio Hijack which you can get at (I personally use Audio Hijack Pro, but the basic version will do the job.) Our local independent public radio station KFAI has 4 straight hours of terrific folk music programming every Sunday morning/afternoon. Unfortunately we are often not able to listen to a radio or be near a computer at that time. So for years I've been using Audio Hijack Pro to record the program streams to my computer so we can listen to them later. (You can set timers in it so you don't have to be near your computer when the program comes on.) It's easy to transfer them to your iPod, which we recently took on a 3900-mile road trip and used to enjoy several weeks worth of recent programs that we had missed. (If you've recorded more than you want to transfer to your iPod, or want to edit your recording in other ways, Fission from Rogue Amoeba works well for that.) I'd also like to say a big "thank you" to Beth and Gene. Beth posted (well ahead of time, which is great for those of us who don't read our digests every day) that Richard would appear on WUMB's "Guest Mix" last Friday. And Gene posted that Richard would be John Platt's guest last Sunday morning. I used the aforementioned software to record those shows and just listened to them. Up here in Minneapolis/St Paul we're lucky to see Richard live once a year, so we love to catch those radio appearances! - -Dave (P.S. -- Richard WAS here just a month ago at the Cedar Cultural Center. We got in line early enough to get 2nd row seats. Before the show I left a handwritten note on his monitor with a couple of requests, one of which was "The Weather." Alas, no luck. The quest continues...) ------------------------------ Date: Tue, 8 May 2007 17:36:31 -0400 From: "Norman Johnson" Subject: [RS] REK Peter wrote: >> Three words to save your friend from the "country" music she is currently choosing to listen to: Robert Earl Keen << and Richard covers his Shades of Grey.
