A great song but its placement in the performance has become a bit predictable by now. In the concert WUMB played, he did really nice versions of America and Wisteria, among others. BTW, the show was in fact from May 2002. I thought it sounded awfully familiar. And when she said the date at the end of the recording, I realized I had in fact been AT the show, having driven up to McCabe's from San Diego with my buddies Merle and Doug. I think Richard was playing that big black Martin. I caught up with him before the show and coerced him into including Bleecker Street in the set. He had to have someone at McCabe's look up the lyrics, from Ron G's wonderful web site. Hmmm -- is Ron G. any relation to Ali G? - -- Greg - ----- Original Message ----- From: To: Sent: Wednesday, December 20, 2006 5:10 PM Subject: [RS] Richard on WUMB RIGHT NOW (12/20 @ 5pm est/2PM PST) > They're playing a May 2006 concert from McCabes on WUMB - > http://www.wumb.org > > And WUMB recently changed it's stream so now it can get through corporate > firewalls (I couldn't listen before). > > 12/20 - 2pm California time / 5pm Boston time > > susan in alameda ------------------------------ Date: Wed, 20 Dec 2006 18:43:58 -0500 From: "Norman Johnson" Subject: [RS] Transit placement >> This was a great show, though I was struck that four years later, he's still closing his shows today with Transit. << So, that's where it belongs. Where else would you put such a long, intense, would-give-Rod-Seling- goosebumps song? Norman ------------------------------ End of shindell-list-digest V8 #194 ***********************************
