Richard came in at #5. (It sounded like they announced #6 when the played, but that wasn't where I thought they were in the countdown and on the official list -- http://www.wumb.org/programs/top100_2006.php -- he's listed at #5.) Pretty impressive. Beth ------------------------------ Date: Sat, 18 Nov 2006 01:04:28 EST From: Openingstar@aol.com Subject: [RS] Richard and Lucy at The Paramount They were both wonderful. Richard came on 2nd. Poor Lucy was battling a cold and did a great job singing with the discomfort. They sang together during each others sets and the 2 song encore. Lucy remarked that people ask if she is married to Richard....and Richard wondered why no one ever asks him if he is married to Lucy. He seemed genuinely happy to be at The Paramount. I sat in the first row balcony...and the sound was very good and the room was old and had a beautiful and warm feel to it. It was not sold out but the room was pretty near full. Richard said he wasn't sure if they were taping tonight's show, but if we were interested in the taped shows to let him know. I took a friend who was not familiar and he enjoyed it very much....looks of wonder crossing his face . I drove from Stamford, CT to Peekskill, NY and am happy to report that several people from my city were also there....so nice to know there are others with discerning musical tastes here.
