It was a good show and he seemed to be in good spirits despite the weather, he mentioned having to take cover in a Burger King because of the driving wind and rain; to which he commented that the worst part is when you take cover in a Burger King, then you eat there! This show was just Richard and his 3 guitars, and this is the first time I've ever seen him sit for an entire show. The setlist (in order - but the end is questionable, I accidentally dumped the end of my recording, ARGH!!) 1.Ready For The Storm (appropriate due to the weather) 2.Waist Deep (dedicated to rumsfeld as he has many times on this tour, and this received cheers from the crowd) 3.Reunion Hill 4.Mavis (had some trouble with the lyrics a couple times, but always a crowd favorite - told the story of Che and the demise of Mavis) 5.Sittin on Top of the World 6.Senor 7.Cold Missouri Waters 8.Mary Magdalene 9.Fishing 10.Deportee? (cover that he said inspired Fishing-also mentioned that Eliza Gilkyson sings harmony on this on the upcoming album) 11.Lazy (introduced as the most auto-biographical song he's ever written) 12.AYHN (with an interlude before the last lines explaining that he was trying to redeem himself) 13.Cancion Sencilla (with the longest introduction/explanation of the song I've ever heard him do) 14.Fenario At this point he said "I'll end up here with a couple of apocalyptic diddies". 15.Juggler Out In Traffic (mentioned this is a new song, title still not carved in stone) 16.Che Guevara T-Shirt 17.Transit (always a good one to do in Philly!!!) 18.Famous Blue Raincoat I also took some pictures at the show. Anyone is welcome to download them (a zipped package of all the pictures) at http://www.longdecember.com/world_cafe_20061116.zip. Beware, the file is ~40mb so don't try it if you use dialup.
