Hi guys, I managed to talk my brother and a friend into going to the concert last night. My brother actually missed most of it, but I think my friend, who had never seen Richard before, enjoyed it. We met up with Bonnie before the show and had a couple of drinks at Live Bait. We all sat right in front of the stage, and found Bob and Maggie easily after the show. They had been sitting right next to us the whole time. Janet was right behind us, too, so we got a chance to say Hello after the show. Had a couple of drinks together after the show at a place called Limerick. It was nice to get to know some more people from the list. The concert was great. The weather was beautiful. Low humidity and a nice breeze blowing through the park. It might have been because we were so close to the stage, but it seemed like there was too much base on the songs with acoustic guitar. It was hard to hear Richard's voice clearly. Everything was much better on the electric songs, one of which was Senor, which sounded great. John McD will be happy to hear that there wasn't a bouzouki in sight. He also did a very rocking version of Courier on the electric. I really enjoyed that one. I screamed out Wisteria when he asked for requests, and was shocked when he actually did it. It was definitely a great show. I have two tickets for tomorrow's show in Bayshore. I think I'm still going, but I had a hard time finding people to come with me to a free show. I may be on here tonight or tomorrow with one or two tickets available. It was a great show, I can't add much more to what everyone else had to say. I'm just sorry I didn't get to meet more fellow listers! It was wonderful meeting you Greg and Bonnie! I didn't want to run out so quickly but I had a cranky crew with me. We had a bad experience with that Rachel Raye show and by the afternoon no one wanted to stick around for Richard's show. I had to do some fast talking and convincing and I'm glad I did. Richard was wonderful. My only little complaint is that I wish he would lay off playing "Mavis" but the man next to me was hoping he'd play it so I was happy for him. We'll be at the show tomorrow. It's my niece's birthday and I'm hoping Richard will play "Calling the Moon" because that's her absolute favorite song but I think that's a longshot. Here's hoping and I hope to see some of you listers! Janet Tired of spam? Yahoo!
