Those who don't know Nic Jones' Penguin Eggs could do much worse than picking up a copy, it's a stunning album that is in print and easily available in both North America (Shanachie) and the UK (Topic). I would have kind of liked to hear him do The Final Trawl if he was going to dip his toes into nautical themes, personally... - -j ------------------------------ Date: Wed, 14 Jun 2006 11:26:51 -0400 From: "Beth DeSombre" Subject: [RS] planning too far ahead So the posts about the new added concert dates sent me scurrying to the club passim website to buy tickets for Richard's shows there (which a) are sure to sell out, and b) get you better seats if you get them early and ask for dinner seating) . . . only to discover shortly thereafter that I can't go to the Friday show, despite having bought a ticket for it. So I now have one ticket to the Friday show (at the member price: $33 + $3 in fees) that I can't use . . . if you know this far in advance that you want one ticket (or if you're planning to buy more you can always indicate in the comments "seat with DeSombre" and they'll put your tickets together) please consider buying mine. I'll even let it go for the discounted price of $30 . . . Contact me directly if you'd like it and we can work out the logistics.
