Thanks Gene. Looks good. I was happy to see Deportee and Storms On The Ocean as part of the CD as well as the songs that we all assumed would be on it. Has anyone heard of "The Humpbacked Whale" which is listed as on the album? I did a quick search and no song lyrics came up. Also, there are new tour dates listed for August and September. ------------------------------ Date: Tue, 13 Jun 2006 09:08:22 -0400 From: "John McDonnell" Subject: [RS] Re: New CD Hi All, Very excited about the upcoming CD, based on the track list. I know most of the songs, but not "The Humpbacked Whale." Anyone know the original? (I know someone does--based on the recent posts, this list is the College of (folk) Musical Knowledge, and I need to knuckle down and do some studying). I did a bit of research at the essential All Music Guide (www.allmusic.com) and I think this might be it. Click on the little speaker icon next to the song and it will play a sample. http://www.allmusic.com/cg/amg.dll?p=amg&token=ADFEAEE57B1EDB4AAF7220C3946D159BE521A329D64CEE831F29461BDFBA3C548B1F70E70EA5D9CFFDFC6AB57AB0FD2EA45C43D2CAE455F5D667382DFC93&sql=10:ce5ibkk9fakv If the link doesn't work go to www.allmusic.com and search for the self-titled album by Finlay Macdonald. I would also suggest that you take a minute to register on this site. It's free and gives you access to an amazing database of music information, including a number of music videos. I first heard "The Humpback Whale" on Nic Jones' 1980 album "Penguin Eggs" There is a audio clip on amazon.co.uk http://www.amazon.co.uk/exec/obidos/clipserve/B00000590J001003/026-0209564-0413273 or try http://tinyurl.com/kd4fd (you will need Real Audio for this 30 second clip) There's no doubt that this song would fit Richard's love affair with his bouzouki "Penguin Eggs" was also the source for a couple of Dylan covers; Canadee-i-o on "good as I been to you" Farewell to the Gold - live - circa 1992 but maybe Richard has chosen a different song about whales ?
