I didn't care for it at all. I've been thinking of a Springsteen song I'd like to hear Richard do but the name of it escapes me and I'm late for work. The one line I can remember was, "I had a job, I had a girl, I had something going mister in this world." Any fans who knows the song? I agree with Ron with "AYHN" it does sound like he's imitating Dylan. He sang it at one of the recent shows I went to and at first I thought he was joking around! I am a fan of "Acadian Driftwood" and like his version of "Senor". Running late! Janet Tired of spam? Yahoo! I sould never quite place why Rad annoyed me at times, but it's got to be that triplet -arpeggio thingy. I liked the version of fishing, but he does another, similarly slower version which sounds like its played in a minor key, or is just perhaps a little more dissonant, which I prefer to this slow version, but only very slightly. Its a great song, and perhaps hard to screw up. AYHN is one of my favorite songs, and I really am attached to the original version--I haven't heard a different version that comes close, so ..... As for Acadian Driftwood, RG, I'm telling you it's the bouzouki. Regardless of its so-called "origins", I swear it resulted from the unholy union of a banjo and a ukulele. Either that or someone took a hatchet to a ukrainian bandura just to see if it would still play. I like the song, however. It may just be historical interest of the song that makes me think the bouzouki on this is fine, and I think it adds a certain starkness to the song that fits well with the subject. I'm not sure, however, that i would feel the same way if it were not the first or second consecutive song on the bouzouki--I think that's about my limit. I didn't really have a problem with his covering BITUSA per se, but I'm not a great fan of his version. Although it does sound different, he seemed to retain the driving beat of the original, which I don't think works in an acoustic version. As for least favorite show? I'm still too green, and I'll take whay I can get.
