And says Bruce Springsteen is a really great guy and fun to be around. So far (except for New Orleans) they've only released European dates, but I'm crossing my fingers to be able to see a concert at some point. At the Rutland concert he said it was coming "some time," leaving the impression that could be "any time in the next year." He said he had thought about just releasing it through the web site but now had interest from a record company. Has he given any more detail in other recent concerts beyond a few tantalizing hints? I'm just back on the list after a long time off, so perhaps this has been discussed before -- but has Richard indicated whether this will be all covers, or are we just hearing the covers because he's not playing any of his own new stuff in concert yet? Also, off-list topic again, but there's a terrific video from the upcoming Springsteen album on the Amazon site at: http://www.amazon.com/gp/homepage.html/102-7093491-5016938 Check it out. - -- Greg ------------------------------ Date: Wed, 5 Apr 2006 12:01:27 -0400 From: "Adam Plunkett" Subject: RE: [RS] upcoming Richard album and more on Bro-o-o-o-c-e Greg, The following night in Fall River he said he was hoping it would be out by May but mentioned that a "great guitar player" still has work to do before it's done. Richard does have a bit of a reputation of taking his time releasing albums. Maybe the folks at the Lexington show have more details as he played more covers. At the Fall River show, Richard mentioned that the night before (which I believe was the VT show) that he didn't do too well since he hadn't performed in awhile and referred to one song as a "disaster last night". But I am sure even Richard is amazing on a self-proclaimed off night. > From: gregdennis@adelphia.net> To: shindell-list@smoe.org> Subject: [RS] upcoming Richard album and more on Bro-o-o-o-c-e> Date: Wed, 5 Apr 2006 11:36:06 -0400> > Does anybody have a more precise timeframe on when Richard's new CD might be> out? At the Lexington show, Richard said that the album "should" be out by May, and that it "might even be late April". As for the nature of the album, I believe he stated on his website, or one of his newsletter messages, that it is indeed a cover album. - --Chris - -- "We were born in a dark age out of due time (for us).
