Rad was understated all the way, adding a bit of color to the tunes, and taking just one solo all night (on accordion during 'Arrowhead,' and clearly by design.) I may have never said this before, but it was good to have Rad on stage. In fact, I dislike "The Grocer's Broom" which features a piano prominently. I just didn't find Rad as intrusive, but I'm sure a solo RS would have been better. ------------------------------ Date: Sat, 09 Apr 2005 10:35:02 -0700 From: Kelly Thompson Subject: [RS] Re: shindell-list-digest V7 #97 Folks, Once again, I have a request. My demo was well received and I will debut for a two hour show next Thursday, April 9th. Anyone interested in emailing me off list with suggestions? I would love music suggestions. I also would appreciate tidbits of information about the artist and/or song, as well as the genre of singer/song-writer and folk in all it's variations, as pertains to particular artists, songs, and otherwise. This first show's focus will be to expose this music those new to the genre, who would definitely appreciate the music, but have not been exposed to it. The other part of it's focus is to draw the attention of those who do love this type of music and artist and will be excited to know they will have the opportunity to hear it on a daily basis, discovering new music, old music, and favorites all over again. The suggestions I received before from folks on this list were so well-received and I loved the music. I also discovered music and artists I had never heard before. I would love to be able to share our love of this genre with my listeners. I have a unique opportunity to share the singer-songwriter folk genre in a way that is seldom done in mainstream media. Thanks in advance! His guitar was too loud and distorted. When I saw Rad, I just knew we were going to hear "Reunion Hil." He makes funny faces too! We were sitting up in the back by the bar so I didn't even realize that was you Ron, shouting out the request for Anais Mitchell! We liked her alot and we're getting ready to see her in a little bit. I liked that "Roses" song, I've never heard of it before but I would rather have heard "Famous Blue Raincoat". On my way out, I heard that the later show was sold out but you couldn't tell by the little line outside. Hopefully it was. Janet __________________________________ Yahoo! Mail Mobile Take Yahoo!
