I apologize to those not on the East Coast but I wanted to let anyone know thinking of seeing Richard at the small Club Passim that the Friday 4/1 show is sold out. He also plays 3/31 which still has tickets. Both shows - the venue holds no more than 70 people - will probably sell out. Yahoo! I called to book the Thursday Joe's Pub show a couple of weeks ago, and was happy to find out that there WAS a Friday show. It wasn't on their Web site at the time, but it did show up on the Web site shortly after that. I bought tickets for both, but on Fri of last week, they called me and said that the show is cancelled. They didn't say why. I guess I can't complain, because I'm going to all 3 Turning Point shows and the one Joe's Pub. Last tour, I kept seeing set lists with songs that I would have loved to hear live, but he didn't play them at the two shows I made it to. So this time I'm not taking any chances - I should get to hear just about everything in 4 shows. Ascent would be a great one to catch. I Saw My Youth Today would be great too, but I'm not counting on it. I still haven't heard him do Famous Blue Raincoat or Nora, so I'm hoping for at least one of those. Looking forward to hearing the new one, too. Only a couple more weeks until the fun starts... Greg Yahoo! I'd hoped that Tracy would play violin on the bridge, but she didn't -- I guess I can't have everything. All in all, it was a great concert at a neat little folk cafe' that I plan to visit again to hear other artists. > Judi ------------------------------ Date: Mon, 21 Mar 2005 14:32:19 -0700 From: "Matthew Bullis" Subject: Re: [RS] East Coast RS Fans.... Yes but they stream their shows via Real Player, so you can tune in. If they forget to turn on the stream, I always remind them via e-mail the night before. Thanks a lot. Matthew Tired of HotMail? April 9. Just putting it out there, in case you live around there and want to go. Tickets are $30 and it's general admission. It's an excellent venue! I have been listening to Richard for a long time but these days, can't stop playing Reunion Hill. Such good songs on that album. - --Lisanne at Balancebodywork@optonline.net ------------------------------ Date: Mon, 21 Mar 2005 06:30:55 -0500 From: Gary Martin Subject: [RS] Re: Joe's Pub On 3/21/05 4:55 AM, "shindell-list-digest" wrote: > > I'm getting really psyched about the Joe's Pub appearance (sorry, RG), but > as a more recent devotee than all of you, wonder if I'll be > disappointed--though that doesn't seem possible. Nope, not possible. If for no other reason than that Anais Mitchell is opening those shows (and the ones at Passim). It's a wonderful album and I think Dave would be very happy with how Tracy is carrying on his legacy. My personal favorites on this album are "Mother I Climbed" and "Hey ho".
