One the entry floor there is a lobby with items related to the work of the Center. THe Guthrie center is a not for profit org that has a varied of children related and serves the homeless among other special projects. One of those is a concert series. The church pews have been removed and the alter serves as the stage. its a small intimate space where the stain glass windows form an octogon surrounding the stage. the empty pew space is set up with small intimate tables. the bathrooms have Guthrie family pictures and items of interest. Arlo's college diploma and pictures of his dad... it really is a mulitpurpose service center... http://www.guthriecenter.org/main.shtml take a tour sharonG ------------------------------ Date: Sat, 04 Dec 2004 16:52:06 -0500 From: Lisa Davis - home Subject: Re: [RS] six weeks without a lawyer I must say usually people seem to think 6 weeks without a lawyer is a GOOD thing... :) not to make light of all that -- the Guantanamo issues, the issues with other supposed "enemy combatants," Ashcroft, Gonzalez' memo, ... . too bad I usually deal with little people's little problems and not that kind of big important stuff. I'm listening to "Things That I have Seen" (actually off that old Shanachie sampler) and wonder -- how about a re-release? I suppose this time it's the Things that we aren't seeing. What else is on it? I don't care much for TTTIHS because of the music, though the lyrics are intriguing and unfortunately relevant again. So, maybe a new version is in order. >> I suppose this time it's the Things that we aren't seeing. << There's a lot of things we aren't seeing.
