Would love a cdr copy. Would be a nice memento to my visit to NY to see him. Recordings of the Joe's Pub shows would be even better offcourse :-) Ronnie - ----Original Message Follows---- From: "Kevin Bohrer" Reply-To: shindell-list@smoe.org To: Subject: [RS] World Cafe Live show 11/21 Date: Mon, 22 Nov 2004 00:03:29 -0500 Just returned from the show tonight in Philadelphia at the new WXPN World Cafe Live venue. First I must say that WXPN really did a superb job creating this venue. The atmosphere, service, food, and acoustics were all great. Eliza was excellent, we had never seen or heard her before and were impressed. She was joined by Richard for the last two songs of her 8 song set. Her setlist was: 1. Not Lonely 2. Rose of Sharon 3. Hard Times in Babylon 4. Richmond Boy 5. Separated 6. Beauty Way 7. Black Sheep(?) w/Richard 8. Tender Mercies w/Richard Richard came on and also delivered a great 15 song set, even perservered gracefully through an obnoxious heckler in the crowd. He was talkative and discussed some of the familiar subjects such as red/blue states. He went into detail on the origins of several of the his songs (some of which I knew, some of which I didn't) like Mavis and Fenario. He also talked a little about the daycare facility he is assisting with getting off the ground back in Argentina, where he is returning tomorrow since the tour is now over. His setlist tonight was as follows: 1. There Goes Mavis 2. Fenario 3. Waist Deep in the Big Muddy 4. Che Guevara T-Shirt 5. Cancion Sencilla 6. Summer Wind Cotton Dress 7. Arrowhead 8. Reunion Hill 9. Waiting for the Storm 10. Cold Missouri Water 11. Kenworth of my Dreams 12. America w/Eliza 13. Last Fare of the Day 14. Transit 15. Wisteria (encore) Afer the show Richard hung around talking to fans and signing things, including some of the new Che shirts. I didn't pick one up, hopefully I won't regret that later. He also signed someone's Che shirt that they wore to the show (not one of his). We had asked one of the waitstaff if we could take the setlist from stage since Richard had left it, and he was kind enough to sign that for me. All in all a wonderful evening, thanks to Richard, Eliza and WXPN! Does he have any plans for future concerts? I'm particularly interested in shows in the western U.S. The east is icky. I've tried this, and it just doesn't sound right. I've picked in the E minor position with the capo at the second fret with standard tuning, and this sounds right to me. Is the web site wrong?
