I have been listening to Richard for a long time but my first time seeing him live wasn't until about a year before Somewhere Near Patterson and have always wanted to hear many earlier songs including "Ascent". 4 days away from "Vuelta"! It's on a CD mix I burned, but when I pop the disk into my computer, iTunes identifies it only by a track number. Thanks. Win 1 of 4,000 free domain names from Yahoo! It sez it will be mailed on the 23rd. I can maybe hope for it on the 26-27th if the po isn't busy and media mail moves quickly. Just fyi, it's very easy and convenient to order from the website if you are a paypal user. Carrie in KC ------------------------------ Date: Fri, 20 Aug 2004 10:39:21 -0700 From: "Sandra J. It happened to be on the evening of the day that the Israeli forces had ousted the men who were occupying the Church of the Assumption (supposedly built on the spot where the angel came to Mary). Richard said "The Church of the Assumption was liberated today, thank God. This next song takes place . . . well . . . there." It was very moving. And thanks to those who told the song I was looking for was "Ascent." ------------------------------ Date: Fri, 20 Aug 2004 18:10:40 -0400 From: mary mccarthy Subject: [RS] vuelta well I must say that I take back any negative comments about the new c.d.. ( which I prematurely judged from a lousy computer sampling) I have heard Mavis and Big Muddy quite a few times on WFUV ( big muddy seems to play between 7:30 and 8:00 am and Mavis around 4:15) anyway they are awesome in such categories as lyrics, melody, guitar picking and vocals. the instrumentation is subtly understated , fresh and inventive. can't wait to get my hands on the actual c.d. next week. namaste, mary ------------------------------ Date: Fri, 20 Aug 2004 21:34:31 EDT From: Rongrittz@aol.com Subject: [RS] Vuelta update from RS Himself.
