Just a point- my ticket says the first show begins at 7:00 pm. If any from the list are there at the early show say hi - We'll be there early eating dinner. I will be with a 40 something woman with full blonde hair and glasses. I will be the 40 something black - haired woman woman with a benign, maniacal look on her face. WARNING: going to see RS live in the next few weeks will only make you crave the new cd even more. I can't get that darn bosa nova bird song out of my head. mary ------------------------------ Date: Mon, 29 Mar 2004 11:21:48 EST From: Bobdog25nj@aol.com Subject: [RS] Richard at Joe's Pub... 7pm and 9:30pm whoops.... Lori's upcoming CD, "Bittertown," due for release on May 11, is her most powerful one yet. And she'll have a full band at the show, too, including Lorne Entress, who produced the CD, on drums. Here's a quick blurb from the inet - Sometimes known as "The Drink of the Gods", Yerba Mate is an herbal green tea grown in the sub-tropical rain forests of Paraguay, Argentina, and other South American countries. Yerba Mate is an herbal tonic that supports many functions both physically and emotionally. In its native country, Yerba Mate is used as a food staple in the form of a liquid vegetable they drink throughout the day to support the body with 196 active compounds that includes vitamins, nutrients, minerals, and proteins. Yerba Mate contains Matiene, a natural stimulant, a close relative to caffeine, but without the jitters, sleeplessness or addiction that caffeine can produce. Mateine balances the body by calming an excited nervous system, or rejuvenating a fatigued one. Yerba Mate has been known to induce mental clarity, help sustain energy levels, and boost immune system. It works as an antioxidant, and has been used to improve digestion. Yerba Mate can aid in weight loss, and help reduce depression. It has also been used to help alleviate allergies, reduce blood pressure, and balance sleep cycles. I've been reading up on this stuff as well; here's a fairly informative webpage that I found: http://www.noborders.net/mate/ Of course, this is probably self-promoting to some extent, but it manages to retain a sense of relative objectivity while painting an extraordinary picture of the product. I'm considering trying this out, it sounds really wonderful. I'm a huge tea-drinker as it is, and I'd be interested to see what would happen if I substituted Yerba Mate for traditional tea. Everyone I've spoken to has expressed mild to extreme interest in trying it out, too. Wouldn't it be wild if Richard played some small part in introducing this phenomenon to the States? (Or at least to Boston... ;-) ------------------------------ Date: Mon, 29 Mar 2004 12:56:30 -0500 From: "Kristen Myshrall" Subject: [RS] Re: yerba mate OK i have to try this stuff..it sound like a miracle drink!
