Note to Ron A.-I emailed David Broida to see if Richard will be doing Concerts Under the Stars this year, since he skipped last year, but the answer was no :( Too difficult to get him here from B.A., but maybe in light of an August release date, that'll change. I think she's one of the best in the genre. The new cd is really good...I think the best sounding one to date. Not very knowledgable of RIchard's work, except for Somewhere Near Patterson and Cry, Cry, Cry. Gotta ask about Transit, a bizarrely wonderful song. Although I am from Long Island (now living in southern CA), I've never driven the stetch of freeway referred to in the song. I'm curious: is there a section where the freeway approaches the Deleware Water Gap that would inspire this song? Thanks for any thoughts. I posed the same question a year or so ago, and people responded with photos of that area. I suspect if you search google for "Delaware Water Gap" you'll come across some of the same photos people sent me. It is a great song. One of his best, in my opinion. ------------------------------ End of shindell-list-digest V6 #37 **********************************
