Ya, Pat.  I had heard she was deathly afraid of flying.  Must be like flying with my wife- the fingernail marks after takeoff and landing can still be seen in my hand and arm for a couple of hours afterward.  God forbid mid-air turbulence. :-)

As for flying..........


I've only flown once and that was from the Uk to Germany in 2000. Never
again! it was on an air France plane and it had bloody propellers for
engines!!! Talk about flying coffins!!

We boarded at 5.30 am and finally started to taxi at 7 15 am. Then we flew
out over the North Sea a bit only to return over the midlands of Britain.
Then horrors of horrors we flew over the 23 miles of the English channel,
over France to Germany.
( gawd knows what I'd be like for the odd 5000 miles over the Atlantic??)
The return journey saw white smoke, some said it was condensation coming out
of the lockers on take off but I have never known condensation  smell like
burnt backolight!

If I can't drive, walk or cycle to my destination in future I ain't going!

What music did everyone get this week?

I only got one cd a little jazz number called twenty something by Jamie
Cullum. I liken him to trying to be like a young Frank Sinatra........and I
didn't like him either.
