Although "favorite" may not be the right word. I am thinking of those songs that, when you push the "play" button in your head, you can hear Richard sing every word of every verse - the songs that really stick in your brain. Here are my top 5: 1) "You Stay Here" - this song really haunts me; especially the version on the Sonora Sessions. 2) "The Courier" - this song has an urgency and nobility to it that creates vivid mental images when I hear it. 3) "Transit" - when I want people to understand Richard's "story songs", this is the one I play 4) "Wisteria" - another one with strong imagery; sweet and sad at the same time 5) "Arrowhead" - I've just always liked the story progression of this one; and a great tune! Everyone have a great week! I scored 100% in the "Mainline to Liberal Christian Protestants" category; and 98% in the "Orthodox Quaker" category. And here I thought I was a confused, cynical, backsliding Lutheran. (Lowest was Scientology at 21%). Interesting little quiz. Thanks.
