Guitars: Congratulations to all the new (to them) guitar owners; wish I were among you. Anybody else interested in an awesome sounding Martin D-16, Larrivee OM-09, or Gibson J-185 custom shop? :-) Stars: We were fortunate to be on vaca in the Caribbean a week ago; outside by the pool at night, we looked up and saw as Richard called them the "3 Maria's," but I couldn't remember what the rest of the story was, and why they weren't Orion's Belt. Anybody?? More: I played Courier for a young fella at work who plays in a band the other day. He asked "how old is this guy?" My reply was a gracious "low 40's." He said "Well Dave Matthews is ripping this guy off, then. Dave Matthews sounds just like him." Wasn't sure if that was a compliment or not. I don't understand what Mr. Matthews sings mostly, he kinda mumbles, to me; and we know of Richard's enunciation abilities. Which leads me to this question: I saw John Mayer on TV, and I think Dave Matthews does it as well, what's with the jumping up and down whilst singing and playing? The crowds seem to like it. Is it a crowd pleasing move, or an emotion building crescendo type thing? I know some of the playing folk here, including Richard, are about the same age as myself. I highly recommend not going airborne for fear of spraining an ankle, pulling a ligament, or tearing cartiledge in a knee, or some other such injury which are common in middle age ;-). Have a good "Spring" to those of us that have seasons, and enjoy "The Weather." ;-) Greg Z - --- "I'll put this cloud behind me, that's how the Man designed me I'm no stranger to the rain"...
