Because I hope she's kidding. << Pam . . . it's a long-standing Shindell-list inside joke. Isabel (and her groovy husband Gene) are famous (infamous?) for having asked Richard to play "The Weather" at every concert since Lincoln was president. Richard, sadly, claims not to know the song. So she wasn't being snippy. Me, I laffed and laffed. RG ------------------------------ Date: Thu, 13 Mar 2003 14:00:17 -0500 From: patrick t power Subject: [RS] A joke indeed . . . I wouldn't say that it has a particularly South American feel to it, although I wouldn't be surprised to hear a Latin-flavored production when it gets recorded. It in no way sounds like "Lazy". Now, I feel part of the family (and sorry Isabel). As RG can attest, I'm one of the first few dozen who joined Dave & Tracy's listserv back in early 2000. I've been lurking on Richard's list like forever it seems, and I've seen the waters get a little testy from time to time... just joining in. I do have the sense that the bonds run deep here, and I beg to be put in my place whenever the need arises. I've only seen Richard once, and that was in Albany, Oregon with Joan Baez... no Tracy. So am very much looking forward to his few stops in the Northwest this May. Hey, Ron G., won't that be just about the time you'll be making it out this way? Either show. We'll be there for both. After over thirty shows, my Shindell experience will finally be complete. Gene F. Oh, o.k., I admit it, I don't really have any sources. I have people, I know a guy, but I don't have any sources. I made the whole thing up. Four years is a long time to be waiting to hear one song, don't you think? _________________________________________________________________ MSN 8 with e-mail virus protection service: 2 months FREE* http://join.msn.com/?page=features/virus ------------------------------ Date: Thu, 13 Mar 2003 16:44:57 -0500 (EST) From: Vanessa C Wills Subject: Re: [RS] Re: shindell-list-digest V5 #48 hehe.
