There are links to past interviews and a photo gallery from last week's show in Huntington, NY. It's one of those events that are just incomprehensible for a while. At first there is just shock and disbelief, then gradually the fact becomes part of reality. It's true and there's no going back no matter how much I want it not to be true. But now this is part of the story of the world: That Dave Carter, incredibly talented songwriter and musician, incredibly sweet, kind, humble, and generous man, died with no warning, of a heart attack just a few weeks shy of his 50th birthday. I know that life has nothing to do with fairness or unfairness, but I just can't help thinking that his death is so unfair. The world needed Dave; we didn't have him for long enough, but I am thankful that we had him at all. The fact that he was part of such a wonderful duo makes it seem doubly sad. It's bad enough to loose the individual, but we have lost what Dave and Tracy did together, though I'm sure that Tracy will still do wonderful things in her life, musically and otherwise. Thank you, Dave, for all you have given me through your music. Laurel Rezeau ------------------------------ End of shindell-list-digest V4 #209 ***********************************
