Legend has it George was playing with Zappa who promptly fired him when he heard "Willin'," with a remark about "if you're gonna write songs that damn good, start your own band." But you know how those rock legends go. There's a live version on waiting for columbus, which has been reissued in it's entirety. (C'mon, admit your ages and tell me I ain't the only one who wanted that blast from the past sadly left on the cutting room floor when "don't bogart that joint" was deleted from the disc the first time it came out on CD. Suuuuuuuuure, we leave the 97 minute version of apolitcal blues on but but we leave off the "novelty" number...) I believe they have a box set too. I think the original was on Sailin' Shoes. A little Little Feat goes a long way with me, but that sure is a good song.
