So how about that Shindell guy? He's really something special, huh? Boy, this list is quiet. umm--quick, if you were doomed to hear just one song over and over for the rest of your life, _and_ it had to be a song by RS, which one would you pick? I'd pick "Summer Wind, Cotton Dress." I don't know--we gotta talk about *something*. - --V, who is now a college graduate! In about a month, my e-mail addy will be "vcwills@alumni.princeton.edu." So strange not to be a college student. Ah, well. ------------------------------ Date: Mon, 17 Jun 2002 15:02:41 -0700 (PDT) From: Janet Cinelli Subject: [RS] Congrats!! That is a wonderful accomplishment Vanessa! You should be very proud of yourself. I have something to add to this list that is a little Richard related. I was at the Clearwater Festival upstate New York yesterday. Dar was on and she said it's a Cry, Cry, Cry reunion! She called Lucy up to the stage with her. They sang Dar's song, "Iowa". No sign of Richard though! And then a huge down pour came too! But then the sun came out and it was a wonderful concert! As for the song I would pick, right now I would say "Wisteria". but that could change at any time. Let's get this list going again! I'd have a hard time choosing, but it would probably be Next Best Western, Transit, or Before You Go. Concert under the stars in Upper Merion Twp, PA... Who else is going? (It's July 4th weekend...) Candy ps Sorry that I've been so silent for so long... but have been on a self-imposed folk concert hiatus... but now.... I'M BACK!!! ------------------------------ Date: Mon, 17 Jun 2002 20:18:58 EDT From: Leighjans16@aol.com Subject: [RS] Hi Hi! I've been sifting through the archives of this mailing list for a few days now and you seem like a very nice and interesting group of people. You have great taste in music anyway. I've been a fan of RS for about a year since I discovered an incredible mix CD ("Blue Point Hill") left behind after my brother went to college. I still haven't heard all of Richard's songs but that 16 track mix CD and "Somewhere near Paterson" are both absolutely perfect! I've also gotten into many other folk singers since my discovery last September. >Boy, this list is quiet. umm--quick, if you were doomed to hear just one >song over and over for the rest of your life, _and_ it had to be a song by >RS, which one would you pick? Hmm . . . If I had to be driven insane by a RS song I would choose "Are You Happy Now" just so that I would have some laughs before hand. Here's a question, how many of you have actually met RS face to face? I haven't. I haven't even gone to one of his concerts. I think I might some time this summer though. Anyway, I've rambled on long enough. It'll be great talking to you guys this summer. Bye! Ack. These kinds of questions always happen when I'm trying to concentrate at work. Good thing it's not like that "Holy Grail" scene, and I won't get thrown into the abyss if I change my mind! So, let's say: "Reunion Hill." For now. Deb ===== You can take the rock band away from the girl and think you've tamed her. But, she'll just pick up an acoustic, give you that innocent little girl grin, quietly laugh and say? "Nevah!"
