I work with Kenny, and all bias aside, I have to concur he is one talented bloke. Kenny and Richard really enjoyed playing together, and my one regret is I couldn't get out there to see any of the shows, but it probably won't be their last run together. I would have loved to see them play together. I love Wisteria, the sound of Richard's guitar and Kenny's piano...so beautiful. The club people seemed to really like it and told Kenny they'd love to have him back, so look for him in your area! Kenny also plays frequently with Cheryl Wheeler and has recorded on almost all of her cds. Thanks and take care... Jennifer Kenny White opened and we were completely blown away by his performance. He was a delightful surprise -- an extraordinary keyboardist and one terrific songwriter. His first song was a reaction to September 11th which I hope will be on his next CD, because I need to hear it again. (During his set, I was reminded somewhat of the excitement I felt back in the early '70s, seeing Billy Joel in concert when he was just getting started.) Kenny skillfully accompanied Richard on several numbers and he and Richard seemed to have a marvelous rapport. His new -- and only -- CD is called "Uninvited Guest" and I highly recommend it. We spoke with him for a while after the show and found him to be very pleasant, chatty and completely unpretentious. He lives in NYC and performs in the NY/New England area, and occasionaly tours with Jonathan Edwards. Sorry this is such a long post, but it was *such* an incredible evening! ~Sue ------------------------------ Date: Mon, 22 Apr 2002 20:19:40 +0200 From: Katrin.Uhl@t-online.de (Katrin Uhl) Subject: RE: [RS] Re: Pittsburgh show - Friday, April 19th Karen, you here?!?!?!
