I was a little nervous when, as we stood in line waiting for the doors to open, we were told that the sound check ran a little late, so there would be a slight delay. However, I thought the sound was really good (after a little mix-up between which guitar plugged into which monitor or whatever). Richard seemed like he was in a good mood. He started playing from his set list, but changed up at least 3 songs. Kenny White, who was quite good in his own right, accompanied Richard for about half of the show. I didn't know this, but Kenny played piano on Somewhere Near Patterson. Anyway, Richard played the following songs: The Courier Summer Wind, Cotton Dress (Love) Before You Go The Ballad of Mary Magdalen I Am Wisteria Willin' Arrowhead 4th of July, Asbury Park (Sandy) Abuelita Fishing Are You Happy Now Transit Encore: America This is from memory, and I feel like I'm forgetting a song. The first 3 and the last 2 are in the correct order, but the rest aren't. Richard said that he had never before sang the version of I Am that he sang last night. He said it was a work in progress and it keeps changing. Since I'd never heard the song, and I didn't commit the words to memory, I can't say how it differs from the earlier versions. I did see someone recording the show (I think it was the same guy I saw recently at Nerissa and Katryna Nields' show, and also at Dar's April Fools show). Unfortunately, by the time the show ended, I forgot to ask him if he was willing to trade. So, if you are on this list, please e-mail me privately. It was a good show, and I'm still smiling from it. My only regret is that I finally had the courage to ask Richard to sign something for me, and then I could think of nothing to say. I felt pretty stupid, but I'll get over it. I did take some pictures, but I'm not sure if they'll turn out, as I noticed the battery light blinking.....
