Has this been true at the other shows? That's still a very moving song for me. Also, Greg- he didn't use a strap so I don't know if there was a badge on it or not. Just him (and his D-15 and his legal pad.) Must have been with the other guitar, wherever that was. To me it goes with the theme of "I Am," especially a couple of lines from the song. Keith Whitley ------------------------------ Date: Tue, 26 Feb 2002 15:56:21 -0500 From: Kerry Bernard Subject: [RS] Moneypenny House Concerts: Be Good Tanyas & Stephen Fearing Pardon the usurping of these lists but I want to give you guys first dibs and, frankly, I'm pretty darn excited about the 2 shows I have coming up: Saturday, March 30th - 8pm THE BE GOOD TANYAS Saturday, April 6th - 8pm STEPHEN FEARING [A Canadian Double Whammy, of sorts.] For those unfamiliar, The Be Good Tanyas are three young women from Vancouver who knocked everyone's socks off both this year and last at the Folk Alliance conferences. We attempted to schedule them for a show last year but the timing didn't work out and, with the way their careers are going, I truly didn't think we'd ever get a second chance. Almost peed my pants when their agent offered this date. This is going to be an amazing show with a band that will very soon be packing huge venues. Visit the Moneypenny website (http://www.younghunter.com/moneypenny.html) or their website (http://www.begoodtanyas.com) to hear some soundclips and see what I'm talking about. Tickets are $10 and must be purchased in advance. Stephen Fearing is one of a handful of artists who, since the inception of my series, has been on my Dream List. A Canadian who was raised in Ireland but now resides in Canada again, Stephen is an acoustic guitar wizard with a deep, luscious voice to match. He has been nominated for numerous Juno Awards and is simply one of my favourite singer/songwriters on the planet. Visit our website (http://www.younghunter.com/moneypenny.html) or his (http://www.stephenfearing.com) for more information. Tickets for this show are $10 and must also be purchased in advance. SPECIAL OFFER: For a limited time, purchase a ticket for both shows, and you will receive a FREE Sampler CD from Signature Sounds Recordings (SSRC Collection, Vol. 5). This 13-track CD features songs by Richard Shindell, Peter Mulvey, Mark Erelli & Kelly Willis, Dave Carter & Tracy Grammer, and many others, and will be mailed to you when you reserve your tickets (purchase 2 tickets and get 2 CDs, and so on and so forth...). 20 bucks for two great concerts AND a free CD?? Can't beat that, eh? It added to the meaning of the song that much more. It kinda took my breath away.
