How very cool. I need to see if I can get that here in Europe, too. The title track of the album is, btw, one that Joan Baez has been singing live and on the European release of Gone from Danger. It's beautiful. I always thought it was by somebody else, but apparently it's by Garbiel Yacoub. Smokey, did you pick up any if his CDs? best, Katrin > -----Original Message----- > > Hello all! That was the other song he sang that made him nervous (in English!). "The Simple Things We Said", he explained, was a CD he made for those of us who don't speak French, so I'm assuming that one is all in English? No, I didn't pick up any CDs, but maybe I should get some. I guess it's a dilemma, because the ones in English are not "true", you know? He even said he couldn't translate them from French, they had to be adapted. To me, that's going to take away from the original intent and beauty of the song. And the ones that are in French are more lovely when you've heard his English description of it. So, what to do? :-) I guess go see him in person and get the best of both!
