I revisited the "Spring" EP last weekend while filling out a tape for the car, and I wondered, who is the woman singing with Richard on "Shades of Black, Shades of Blue"? Deb (who says, how can "By Now" not be about anything else but *that* when you listen to that funereal organ at the beginning and the end?) ===== You can take the rock band away from the girl and think you've tamed her. But, she'll just pick up an acoustic, give you that innocent little girl grin, quietly laugh and say? "Nevah!" Make a great connection at Yahoo! I think she's been on at least one of Richard's other albums. Sweet, sweet, philosophy. I am in the process of applying to graduate schools. As soon as I can figure out what _kind_ of philosophy I want to do. As a matter of fact, one of my (much beloved!) professors recently suggested that I may, in fact, in order to accomodate at least one or two of my interests, need to consider a slight change of disciplines and apply to departments of Religion for graduate school. It's all, to say the least, very confusing. I wonder whether Richard's undergraduate study was really in Philosophy of Religion (religiosity, the religious attitude, etc.), per se, or more Theology-based, seeing as how he went on to seminary. Something tells me it was probably the former--I can't see Richard getting caught up in the details. Anyways, just thought I'd wave my hand and say "Me, too!" By the way, I move that we change the name of this thread. Since I am currently working on my Senior Thesis, I tend to be increasingly less sympathetic to Edie Brickell's banalities. :-P I've opted for something a little more . . . Wittgensteinian. hehe Peace, V "Norman A. Johnson" wrote: > Shelley wrote of her son: > > >>He's 20 and in his second year of college.
