typing in the lyrics too.  What a powerful song! I cry everytime I hear this one. I am a recovering Billy J. fan--more fond of his pre-Uptown Girls days.  Thanks.

I think I too, like so many of you, need therapy. At 3:00 am last night I woke up with an epiphany: "No, Cold Missouri Waters won't count on my RSAT question because it wasn't penned by RS!  Oy!"  I'm trying to head off at the pass what I'm sure will be a reprimand about my faux pas. But at least I caught it...

Oh, I dunno.  I think the Talking Heads have had a big influence on folk groups such as The Nields, EFO and Moxy Fruvous.  Also, I think Richard would do a most amazing folked-up cover of Pyscho Killer, and I bet he'd look really cool in a great big suit.  ;-)

The most chilling war song I've heard is _One Bullet_ by Garnet 
Rogers, from his _Small Victories_ album. In the liner notes it says:

Hey you guys,

Laura, good job. The committee appreciates that you tried to entertain us 
when enlightenment was not there. We are, after all, tough but fair. At 
least Ron and I are.

Goodnight Saigon was the first song I ever heard on compact disc format. 
WNEW-FM, the only station that mattered in New York in the '70s and '80s, 
played it one morning in 1982, I believe. I still remember Dave Herman 
talking about the disc technology a bit, and preparing us for the experience 
we were about to hear. The sound of the helicopter blades in the intro was 
so clear, even through my stereo, that it seemed to be live.  I bought my 
first CD player within a few weeks, even though there were very few titles 
available at first.

Gene F. (who has been working on his mwahaha, but hasn't been able to 
convince anyone yet.)

Thank you, thank you, thank you for letting me stay in spite of my poor 
results on the RSAT's. While I was waiting for your decision, I was keeping 
my anxiety at bay by listening to my NOW CD's Vol. 1-7, watching
The Weakest Link, and eating Creamettes Pasta (how'd you know, oh right you 
are omnipotent, o wise and all-knowing sensei(s)!

I did think of one bright after-answer that might bring me up to an even C-: 
Cold Missouri Waters also starts with "My Name Is..."  Please file away for 
future newbie quizzes, of which I'm sure there'll be many. How is the BBM 
going?

Thank you once again for your mercy.  Guess I can cancel my membership in 
the JBFC and continue my long wait for SP.

I hope and pray that when you choose to test me again, I shall be worthy 
(not to mention smarter).  My RSIQ is already 25% higher.

Hope no one lost too much money (or sexual favors) on this wager.  Yes, I 
did answer quickly but remember not to mistake speed for accuracy.

Hi all!
The other day WFUV was doing "Hidden Tracks/Bonus
Tracks" and the first song played was Richard"s "Sing
Me Back Home".  I don't remember who the DJ was but he
didn't know the name of the song or who wrote it!  I
was amazed that he knew it was Richard singing. 
Anyway, it was still a nice surprise to hear.

Synchronistically enough, both of these tunes have been covered by the best 
Canadian boy band around, Moxy Fruvous, on their CD Live Noise - for the 
record, they also do a hella cover of the e-mail subject-titled song!

with his "one song that he will play in public when adequatelyharassed, but
