Geography seems to be a lost cause. Many people don't realize that western South America is in the same time zone as eastern United States. Bogota, Columbia is almost due south of New York City. Argentina time is two hours ahead of New York time. You get on a plane in Newark at 6:15pm, you arrive in Buenos Aires 11:35am the next morning. Whether you go through time zones or not, flights like that are gonna knock the crap out of you.
