The reviewer is an English student named Alison doing the article for a college newspaper. Think she missed the boat just a little? >>Last night I was given an album called Little Black Numbers to review for a University newspaper... it's by a girl called Kathryn Williams who I believe is from either Newcastle or Liverpool. Jonny Bridgwood plays double-bass throughout, I'm assuming it's the same Jonny anyway... sadly the album is very poor, though I think that's more to do with the girl than Jonny. It's a horribly under-developed sounding record with hardly any drums (she could have done with nabbing Spencer too, har har) and all I can say is I'm glad I got it for free...<< Ron ------------------------------ Date: Sat, 21 Oct 2000 11:01:22 -0700 From: Karl Young Subject: Re: [RS] Site Unseen Ron: I was able to listen to them. You do have Real Audio installed? Neil: If you really want to showcase your artists, use MP3s instead of Real Audio, or put both up there. The Rel Audio tracks all sound like they are underwater. The music sounds intriguing, but I wouldn't buy the CD based on those tracks. - -karl RockinRonD@aol.com wrote: > In a message dated 10/20/2000 5:56:13 PM Eastern Daylight Time, Neil offered > thus for hearing Kathryn Williams: > > << Here's the real audio samples we have on the site : > > Dog Leap Stairs > > http://www.fishrecords.co.uk/audio/leazes.ram > http://www.fishrecords.co.uk/audio/what.ram > > Little Black Numbers > > http://www.fishrecords.co.uk/audio/soul.ram > http://www.fishrecords.co.uk/audio/felldown.ram>> > > Microsoft Explorer could not reach any of these for me.
