Hey everyone! I wanted to thank Ron G for the "Goodnight" info. You also mentioned another version of it with Shawn Colvin on a Fast Folk Album, where could I find that? Sorry it has taken me so long but between trying to catch up here at work and read through all of the lists:Falcon Ridge, Lucy and Richard List, it has been quite overwhelming. I'm sure all of you can relate, I love the lists but it is hard to keep up with them. I must say that the Falcon Ridge photos that were posted a few days ago were absolutely stunning! The shots of Richard, Lucy and Dar were terrific, I think I know what the next wallpaper on my moniter will be!! I have some pretty cool photos of myself with Richard and Lucy if anyone would like to see them you can e-mail me. I hope to post a message soon that will have a link to them. *Keep the Falcon Ridge Spirit Alive All Year Round!" Well, happy birthday Richard! Keep on writing those great songs! And you don't sound nothing like Leonhard Cohen :-) Where's he playing tonight? Who's throwing a party for the man? Katrin PS: Gene, despite the "that guy" reference, my dad will like Richard immensely once I have dragged him to a show. :-) I think I'll make him a tape, Leonhard Cohen on one side and Richard on the other, so he can practice keeping the two voices apart. ------------------------------ Date: Thu, 3 Aug 2000 16:54:29 -0400 From: Elwestrand Subject: Re: Re: [RS] Happy birthday!!! Here! Here! Vanessa. I live in the car chase capitol of the world and I am so sick of exploitative tv. But nothing has changed since the Romans: its all about Bread and Circuses. What I don't understand anymore, at the advanced age of 32, is don't people realize that they are watching their lives away? I mean I watch probably 5-6 hours of TV a week, but some people watch that much each day! There are so many things we can do with our free time - meditate, volunteer, craft, play music, write, create art, build a car from a kit - anything. For instance, if you cut down to 4 hours of tv a day and spent two hours learning the guitar, you would quickly progress on your instrument. I wish more people had more faith in themselves and spent time pursuing life and not watching other people's lives. Especially a bunch of rat-eating mercenaries. Rant over. Richard tie-in: I am sure he would agree! Hee Hee, E P.S.
