I found a website that has several variations of them as well as historical info on its use in Heraldry, etc. http://www.fleurdelis.com/fleur.htm Pat ------------------------------ Date: Thu, 25 May 2000 00:03:10 EDT From: SoccrDawg@aol.com Subject: [RS] t-shirts, pins, whatever i guess i'm a fence-sitter as usual and don't really care much about what form of identification that we come up with to identify list folk. i do dig the st. agnes' prison choir idea if we go with the shirts. maybe as far as discretion goes, we could just do something simple like a black shirt with st. agnes prison choir on the front in small letters and a prison number or something under it or on the back. it would be cool if we all had numbers but probably a nightmare to print up that way. i don't know. i'm tired and ideas are random. if we were to do the pin thing, maybe some little blue pills or something? that's pretty discreet. anyhoo, i should head for bed. i can't wait to find out how this ends up! night and dreams to all. ..nicole ------------------------------ Date: Thu, 25 May 2000 00:06:03 -0400 From: njohnson@ent.umass.edu (Norman A. She said: >h) did I mention that a pin is a little more *discreet*? Wouldn't the line be "Something more discreet" ? So, how about a pin/ button that says: "Something more discreet" and "Better Service!"? And, ultimate discreet because it doesn't have to SAY anything at all, other than perhaps a name. Large fleur-de-lys on the front and shindell-list@smoe.org on the back. That's enough for any conversation, and serves the purpose, and won't humiliate those of us who squirm at running in packs. Only, would someone do one in BLACK with a WHITE fleur-de-lys? (or blue or something). I'm still pushing for the extra-price V-Neck t-shirt -- sigh- - and then in wintertime there are long-sleeved ones. It would be nice to have a shirt that was nice as it is, as a shirt, without regard to all the advertising. lisa stuffy ------------------------------ Date: Thu, 25 May 2000 00:13:29 -0400 From: "L. I better check teh sites on my Breton groups, methinks a black and white fleur-de-lys is a symbol of Brittany. But Ill check. lisa ------------------------------ Date: Thu, 25 May 2000 00:20:08 -0700 From: ptpower@juno.com Subject: Re: [RS] t shirts Lisa wrote: <> Hmmm . . . isn't this known as a "French-cut" T-shirt?
