I cannot imagine he would say or imply that. This from his newsletter is pretty clear that he is tired of touring, nothing to do with concert attendance. I have no further tours planned. After that, I'll begin a new life, staying in one place for long stretches, at home here in the Province of Buenos Aires. I can't continue touring as I have for the past decades. Creativity will continue. Songs (and other things) will be written. Nothing to worry about. No crisis. I've just been reading the signs. They are clear, as am I. I've had a good run, so much more than I ever expected. All of you were part of i I have no further tours planned. My only concern is whether webll get to read/hear his poetic output (I think theybd be best in audio format with him reading them). His poem In the Produce Section is one of the best things Ibve ever heard in my life. As you all know that Richard is stopping his touring, as my wife and I gather from his last email, that his fan base is not interested in seeing him in concert?B If so, that is just so weird. And as you know for the last 5 year, he has cut down his touring, as we are lucky that he has kept Jammin Java in his shrunken touring schedule each year, sometimes playing at Jammin Java two times in a year. Richard is someone you would never tire of. We did not get to see him at Jammin Java in 2019, as he played here in October, as we were on our annual trip to Acadia National Park. I do have more concerts of him, and also two concerts for Lucy Kaplansky, solo, to load sometime (John Gorka too) A great concert, that went 1 hour and 45 minutes no set break which was fine. And I just got a better camera that has batteries that go 2 hours! Hopefully he will continue to write and record. Maybe he can do concerts on the internet from home then? I do have two concerts from Club Passim, that were internet concerts that I will post, they were wonderful, among many bootleg audios shows. So that is great that is okay with the fan base. Again, we have WUMB on all the time and are monthly members. I forgot to ask someone to post the concert link to the facebook page. I am going to miss seeing him in concert at Jammin Java. I hope you are doing well with what is going in the world.
