It was helpful for me, since I wanted to know what David said about the songs, and what instruments people played. For those reading on this list, since I'm blind, the artwork doesn't do me any good. I could scan it in using optical character recognition, but that's not a perfect science, especially when dealing with fancy print or graphics around the words, and I also don't have many people who will read the liner notes straight through. I have no problem learning what other artist people here like. That is how you learn new thing. Anyway, having learned of Francey a few years ago by listening to CBC2 on line, I have gotten about 4 of his CDs, as 2 of them are out of print. Someone mentioned his Torn Screen Door CD, and he said he was listening to it all day on line. I googled it, saw sound samples on Amazon, but it is out of print too. So with the internet, I landed a NEW copy of the CD in Ontario for 19 with shipping. Sounds like another great CD, as I wonder why CDs like this go out of print. Must not be enough of a market to justify another print run. Anyway, I read it is his first CD, 1999 and his only CD not to win a Juno, which is a Canadian music award. HBO could have just had RS walk out with a guitar after Frey shut the doors in "The Rains of Castamere" and we'd (RS list people) all know, "Someone is NOT going to be Happy Now"!! I take it that HBO is letting folks in the British Isles see "GoT" in the same time frame as America..?? I honestly think that "Courier" WOULD easily work into the show. Of current characters I see it applying the most to Ser Jorah Mormont. Why don't you throw me your email in a private communication, and I'll show you a funny pun cartoon my daughter found for GoT?? ...Carol ------------------------------ Date: Tue, 25 Jun 2013 11:36:04 -0400 From: Carol Love Subject: Re: [RS] Show of Hands Ron G wrote: > "Meet Me in the Morning" (Townes Van Zandt) and "Sing Me Back Home" (Merle > Haggard) are also covers . . . ........I don't know why I had it in my mind that there were no covers on the first few albums. I also always had trouble grabbing the hidden tracks on RH. ...Carol ------------------------------ Date: Tue, 25 Jun 2013 17:26:41 -0700 From: Christine Thomas Subject: Re: [RS] More David Francey is it not possible to order directly from his website?
