I have watched about 8 of them this year, as last night I watched The Steel Wheels from VA. I first heard of them this year on www.folkalley.com as they sung Red Wing, just a wonderful song that the lead singerbs grandfather taught him the tune, a traditional song, as later he added words to it and called it Red Wing. His Grandfather just died this year at age 93. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aa38J4avsHo He explains the song and they perform it. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GFITswgtXQs Halfway to Heaven, http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dJl3VkpmNZs Lay Down, Lay Low, a very powerful, sad song, but a good ending, as they explain the song in the beginning, I sent this to the Garnet Rogers and Richard Shindell list, I am on, as it is nice to learn about other artist from time to time. If that is not okay to do, I wont do it again, on those list. Mike ------------------------------ End of shindell-list-digest V12 #453 ************************************
