[Bernadette Marian ] ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Date: Tue, 5 Feb 2013 23:30:26 -0500 From: Bernadette Marian Subject: [RS] My 2 cents... From Serious lurkdom, I emerge to vote.... 1. You stay here - -brings up all those fears I had as a child while learning about war. A good song should invoke that kind of emotion 2. Waiting For The Storm - -for no other reason than I like the images 3. Abuelita - -tough choice but Abuelita is an all time favorite. He doesn't play it live often enough. If wisteria was posted against a different tune than it would have gotten my vote 4. Last Fare Of The Day - -as a NYer this one spoke to me the first time I heard it. **And I always assumed it was 2 different couples... Just had to put my 2 cents in on this subject 5. TV Light - -just a little tenderness 6. Easy Street - -I have a fond place for the Reunion Hill album/CD 7. Fenario - -tough one but confession makes me too edgy,(a contradiction to my previous statement about invoking emotion but this one is too much or maybe it is the NY'er in me that knew a few folks like this and I wish they would have sought help). 8. Howling At The Trouble - - because By Now is just too dark and scary 9. I Saw My Youth Today - -have always loved this tune and again, Reunion Hill tunes tend to sway me 10. There Goes Mavis - -RS once said that if you have trouble with a problem add an orange parakeet...except when cooking. 11.One Man's Arkansas - -coin toss between these 2 12. Hazel's House I love the sound and lyrical expressions but never understood "On a Sea of Fleur De Lis" and Hazel reminds me of my grandmother 13. Mary Magdalene - -very tough choice but MM is an all time favorite. Back to lurking till the next round, Bernadette ------------------------------ End of shindell-list-digest V12 #352 ************************************
