[Christine Thomas ] ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Date: Tue, 5 Feb 2013 15:10:54 -0800 From: Christine Thomas Subject: [RS] My picks! I am normally a lurker but I have to chime in with my vote! 1. You Stay Here (Mariana's Table) Definitely You Stay Here. I adore that song! 2. Waiting for the Storm (A Tune for Nowhere) I love this song too! The vivid imagery in the lyrics is amazing. 3. Abuelita (Wisteria) I adore both of these songs. Abuelita was the first RS song I ever heard. I was introduced to him when I heard the version of Cold Missouri Waters on Cry, Cry, Cry. Living in Canada we didn't have access to a lot of the more obscure music. I found Abuelita on a friend's computer through Napster. A little later I found Wisteria. I am going with Abuelita on this one. 4. Last Fare Of The Day (Get Up Clara) Definitely Last Fare of the Day. 5. Ascent (TV Light) Ascent. Although, I am not a big fan of either of these songs. 6. Easy Street (Balloon Man) I am not really fan of either. Love Lucy! 7. Fenario (Confession) I like both of these songs. But I really like the addition of Lucy on Fenario. 8. Howling At The Trouble (By Now) Definitely Howling at the Trouble 9. You Again ( I Saw My Youth Today) This is a toss up for me. But I think You Again speaks to me more. 10. Parasol Ants (There Goes Mavis) Definitely Parasol Ants. 11. State of the Union (One Man's Arkansas) State of the Union all the way. 12. On A Sea Of Fleur-de-Lis (Hazel's House) I am not really fond of either. But in the case I will go with Fleur. 13. Mary Magdalene (So Says the Whippoorill) I first heard Mary Magdalene on Cry, Cry, Cry and it made sense to me. Then I heard Richard sing it on Courier and I was even more sold on it! - -- "Piglet sidled up to Pooh from behind. "Pooh?" he whispered. "Yes, Piglet?" "Nothing," said Piglet, taking Pooh's hand. "I just wanted to be sure of you."
