I don't really know what the radio is like in the US, but in the UK, most mainstream radio seems to me to be noise for people to switch their brains off with. My opinion isn't shared my most people, but I find the professional, vapid cheerfulness of everyone from Terry Wogan to whoever presents the Radio One breakfast program these days very irritating. I listen to Radio 4 these days - which is a news program from 6 - 9am. Of course, politicians are irritating also, but at least there's some substance to what's being said! Martin (In England).
