 I did  this at a recent Scott Ainslie concert in northeastern PA. Small
venue, I asked the people around me if they minded if I did this and to please
let me know if it did, because there was one as-of-yet unrecorded song I
wanted to tape for personal use. They were cool with it, I was in the front
row, and I held my phone about chest high to steady it (and was on an end, so
I pulled my chair away a bit from the person next to me.)

I taped two songs, they actually came out pretty well, and I will probably put
them on YouTube AFTER I have Scott's blessing when he sees them.

I too bring my little flip camera to concerts and usually tape one or
twosongs.
