Followed closely by "Somewhere Near Paterson" Each album has 4-5 songs I can't live without. "I Am" was a limited release song to benefit a NYC radio station that lost it's tower on 9-11. Maybe someone here on the list knows how you might be able to grab that. It's a KILLER song. Other only single releases from Shindell to be snagged @ iTunes: Paddy's Green Shamrock Shore & Before You Go Paddy is a cover and Before You Go is an original and possibly the most spiritual song RS has ever written. Listening to BYG, it's easy to imagine that Richard was once headed into the Ministry. In his introduction he mentioned that he stayed late the night before and listened to Steve Knightley's version in the parking lot and found that he like the imitator's arrangement even better than the original. Thanks for pointing it out. I can't imagine playing YOUR version of Richard's song for Richard. And then imagine him liking your version better! Seemed like different picking which I noticed at first but then got used to and didn't even notice by the end. I also like the extra "You stay here" throughout. Richard's early CDs may be hard to find. Much of the best of that early material is on Courier, Richard's live "greatest hits" CD. I wish Richard would re-record "I am".
