We have DVDs of all the concerts (as do the artists), so I'm sure you'll see some of the footage in the future. I've started uploading a couple of clips on our festival's YouTube site, and uploaded a song from Richard's set (solo) yesterday. http://www.youtube.com/user/shrewsburyfolkfest best wishes Neil Shrewsbury Folk Festival - -------------------------------------------- Fish Records singer/songwriter, folk & acoustic t. 01743 231546 f. 01743 354354 m. 07986 630496 - -------------------------------------------- ------------------------------ Date: Wed, 1 Sep 2010 13:40:22 -0400 From: "E. I remember when he came to the Barns of Wolftrap with Olabelle (GODS, I wish they'd recorded THAT concert, it was just amazing!). He played the old Sam Cooke song, "Change is Gonna Come" and got a WASHINGTON DC CROWD standing up and SINGING with him (this is just after the election of our currently embattled president). It was an amazing concert. That was the most amazing thing I'd seen since Oscar Lopez did it in the National Geographic auditorium about 10 years ago... in the middle of the city! He had us up and dancing! I agree completely about REM's version of "Wall of Death", it's great. If you like cool covers, go to Peter Gabriel's site and watch him sing Tom Waits' song "In the Neighborhood" IN HIS DINING ROOM (it's something called the Voice Project). But I digress. RT songs I love and would like to hear Richard S play -- "Withered and Died", "1952 Vincent Black Lightning", "Gesthemane", or "A Love you Can't Survive" -- am I depressing or what? Oh, bother, Ron's right, I goofed. Evelyn Evelyn, > > I said the VERY same thing. Of course Ron Gritz pointed out that RT shows > up > on SoD, but I want a cover, too. Actually I'd love "Waltzing's for > Dreamers" -- which probably shows a lack of imagination on my part. > > Have either of you heard REM's cover of "Wall of Death"??
