I was very impressed with the venue, no mics, no amps, no sound guy (sorry Rich!) a truly unplugged affair. Richard's finger was bandaged but he brought some help with him. John Putnam on guitars/ukulele, Dennis McDermott (sp?) on drums and Lincoln on bass. If anyone knows Lincoln, can you ask him if he went to PS 90 in the Bronx? My sister thinks she went to school with him. I'm not going to post the set list, Richard seems a little restricted by his injury as to what songs he can play so I don't want to spoil it for anyone going to the rest of the shows. You can email me off-list if you want. He spoke about his accident that he was chopping wood at his winter home for his wood stove. I've never been to a concert where there was absolutely no electric amplification and I can't wait to go back. We were able to hear him clearly, at least where I was sitting and if you spoke above a whisper, you were heard too. Of course there was the obligatory loud drunk woman in the audience. There always seems to be one whenever I see him. I will say he did sing the juggler song I like so I was pretty happy. He had two guitars and a bouzouki. He did need some help with his tuning, asking the others if he was in the right key. He seemed to play fine but John covered some of the melody parts. He played for almost 2 hours without a break. Great show, I'm glad I decided to go. I'm not sure which made my night, the venue, Richard or that we got a parking spot right across the street.
