The phpBB discussion board software found on Richard's SLABMedia site is also used on Ellis Paul's SLAB-hosted site. If you take a look there, you will see that phpBB works well with the assistance of good moderators.  The software requires potential members to provide a valid e-mail address, preventing most spammers.  If a spammer gets through, board moderators can simply delete the spammer's membership, and can block both their e-mail address and/or user name.  Forums (topic areas) can also have individualized permissions, as needed/wanted.  It's been working well there. See  http://www.ellispaul.com/discussion

Subject: [RS] trying to listen to SOD on my computer

My computer has better sound quality than my stereo (sad, I know), so  
when I received SOD this afternoon I loaded it onto my computer.    
Half of the songs crackle and skip.   Does anyone else have this  
problem?   Is it some kind of copy protection, or did I receive a bum  
CD?   (Looking at the business side of the disk, it appears  
immaculate.)   If it's copyright protection, that will really tick me  
off, because I do not share copyrighted songs with anyone.

My pre-order copy of SOD loaded into the Mac, plays just fine in iTunes
and the track info was found instantly.
