Same here. In fact sometimes its better that way. If you don't quite nail it, then it is free to tickle you for many moons to come. But of course our nature is usually to "nail it", dissect, understand, etc. To paraphrase form Eliza Gilkyson's "Paradise Hotel", we tend to "venture forth from caves and conquer everything in sight". Guess its the nature of the beast. But its kind of fun to say, nah... ::shrug::: lets not and say we did. Anyway, I'm really enjoying all of your posts. Yeah I guess "Sparrow's Point" really was largely about being exiled, refugee'd, castaway'ed in several songs. And I love how "Kenworth" because the pressure release valve, in a sense. R O A D T R I P !!!!!!! the joyous bellowing of the American soul. Need your soul back??? Haven't seen it in a while?? ...hit the highway... Well its one solution, anyway. Its Monday a.m., this is my 1st email of the week, so I hope that even made any sense. I think I will set the iPod to play the "Courier" album. Just a guess. MKB wrote: Greetings, Does anyone know if Richard or Tom Paxton is playing first at Friday's Concert Hall show? The reason for the question mark is so that you wouldn't think that this is a post on how actually to do just this. I'd like to know myself. I've pulled up the archives, and would like to look back through the postings. Several people said they didn't want to start the Fleur De Lis thing again, which I wasn't around for. However, when I punch in fleur in the search box, it only pulls up the latest messages. Would I literally have to click on each month and search there? I didn't see a link for an advanced search. Does the Smoe listserv accept Get commands for retrieving whole digests? If so, then it might be possible to skim through everything for the past ten years! Anyway, if there are instructions hidden somewhere on how to get more advanced with the archives, then I'd like to avail myself of them. I did see something called text digest, so maybe if these are stored on an ftp site somewhere, I could retrieve a huge batch of them. Thanks a lot. Matthew Tired of HotMail? The search function on the Grassyhill archives is a little more miss than hit. Tom Neff, if you're out there, any insight? The search function used to bring up 50 or so results, now it's next to nothing. Also, folks, the list is archived at http://www.smoe.org/lists/shindell-list/ which has all digests from the beginning of time. Not searchable though.
